1. Who we are
Kemnay Breakfast and After School Club SCIO (Scottish Charity SC050536), Kemnay Primary School, Grove Road, Kemnay AB51 5RA, is the data controller for personal information collected through this website, our lottery, donations and childcare enquiries. Contact us about privacy at [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Lottery players: name, date of birth, address, email, phone, numbers held, payment records, proof of age where requested, prizes won, and any safer play or self-exclusion requests.
- Donors: name, contact details, donation amounts, and Gift Aid declarations.
- Enquiries: the details you give us when you contact us.
- Website: this site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Our web host may keep standard server logs for security.
3. Why we use it and our lawful bases
- Contract: to enter you in draws, confirm numbers, contact winners and pay prizes.
- Legal obligation: to verify age, keep lottery records and make returns to Aberdeenshire Council under the Gambling Act 2005, and to keep Gift Aid records for HMRC.
- Legitimate interests: to honour self-exclusion and safer play requests, prevent fraud, and reply to enquiries.
- Consent: to send club news if you opt in, and to publish winners' initials and town. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Age verification
To keep under-18s out of the Lottery we check dates of birth and may ask to see a proof-of-age document. We note that a check was done and delete any copy of the document within 30 days.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only where necessary with: our bank (to process payments and prizes); HMRC (Gift Aid claims); Aberdeenshire Council and other regulators or law enforcement when the law requires; and our email and website providers, who act on our instructions.
6. How long we keep it
- Lottery records: 3 years after you stop playing (lottery returns must be available for inspection).
- Self-exclusion records: for the exclusion period plus 1 year, or indefinitely for permanent exclusions.
- Gift Aid declarations and donation records: 6 years after the last donation they cover.
- General enquiries: 1 year.
